Unit 3 vocab
Concurrent Lines- 2 or more lines that intersect at one point
Points of concurrency- The point where two or more lines intersect
Hinge theorem- An angle of a tringle is proportionate to the length of the opposite side
(bigger angle bigger side)
Triangle inequality- the sum of two sides of a triangle must be grater than the third side
A+b>C
A+C>B
B+C>A
Exterior angle- The supplementary angle (linear pair) to the vertex of a triangle
Remote interior angles- The two angles opposite from the exterior angle
Exterior angle theorem- the sum of the two remote interior angles is equal to the exterior angle
Equilateral triangle- 3 congruent sides and 3 congruent angles
Isosceles- 2 congruent sides and 2 congruent angles
Scalene- no congruent sides and no congruent angles
Midsegment- the line connecting the midpoints on two sides of a triangle
Parallel to the third side and half the length
