Goals of the Lesson:
The students will learn about the structures and functions of the eyes and ears. They will learn medical terms related to
the eyes and ears and will define combining forms, prefixes, and suffixes. They will learn medical terminology related to
signs, symptoms, and conditions; tests and procedures; surgical interventions and therapeutic procedures; medications
and drug therapies; and medical specialties and specialists of the special senses. They will learn relevant abbreviations
and explain terms used in medical records and case studies.
