The Sun is in the of the Solar System.
The Sun is a red and orange star. The red and orange come from the
heat locked inside. (www.kidsastronomy.com). On the surface of the Sun their is
waves. The reason the Sun looks like it has waves is because heats trying to come
out. (www.kidsastronomy.com).
The Sun is 1,390,000 km. Its bigger than any planet!
(www.peterandpaularondthegalaxy.com) The Sun is in the middle of Solar System.
The Sun is Earths ultimate energy source.(www.nasassolarsystemforkids.com).
The Sun no moons. Here are some interesting facts about the Sun.
The Sun is 4.6 billon years old also in ancient Greece the Sun was called Helios.
The Sun is our nearest star even though its 90 million miles away.
The Sun is a hot planet!

My planet I’m studying on is mercury.
Mercury is a tanish brown planet. It is that because a lot of gas is
around it. Also Mercury has cater on it. (www.planet fact.com).
Also Mercury is the closet planet to the sun( Mercury). Also, the size of
Mercury is small. the diameter of Mercury is 58 million km (Mercury).
Mercury has no life or no air. The temperature on Mercury on the dark side can
go to 271 Celsius (Mercury). Mercury has no food because it is the planet to the
sun. My planet is by the sun.(Mercury). Mercury can go up to 950. It takes 88 day
for a year. Water doesn’t exist (Mercury).
An thats the the planet I study on.

Venus is one of the planets in our solar system.
Venus is covered with water vapor and sulpheric acid (solar system). It
looks like the sun.It looks this because it is covered by gases science.
Venus is 7,521 miles in diameter (venus). It is about the same size as
earth (venus).Venus is the second planet in the solar system (solar system).Venus can
be seen from earth (solar system).
Venus has no moons. It also is the hottest planet (science). It can reach
up to 900 degrees fahrenheit (solar system)! That is 400 degrees hotter than an
oven.

The plant Venus is fascinating!
Venus look’s like fire. This is because all the heat that’s trapped
in .The design of venus is fire (nasa’s kid’s club).
Venus is about 9,590 km from the sun .Venus is about the same size
as Earth . Venus is the 2nd plant from the sun . Another fact is location from the
sun is 67.24 million miles . The size of venus is 7.257 and it’s half earth size (plants
for kids).
Venus has no moons. Venus’s atmosphere is made mostly of carbon
dioxide . Venus take 224.7 days to complete one orbit around the sun. And venus
has no oceans (fun solar system)

Earth is a planet in the solar system.
The color of my planet is blue white and green because soils and rocks as seen
from a distance makes the earth look blue, white, and green. The earth is shaped
like a sphere. (planet for kids.com).I
The earth’s size is 40,075. the space of the earth is.The earth is the third planet
from our sun in the solar system (www.ask.com).
People live on earth. There is grass there, gravity, water, and animals. Earth has
one moon. The earth is a planet that people live on. The earth is around 4.6.
billon years old. Earth is the fifth largest planet in the solar system(www.ask.com).
Earth is an interesting planet in our solar system. I have learned a lot about
earth.

Mars is part of the solar system.
Mars is mostly orange. Iron oxide, or rust gives Mars it’s color (planet
facts.com). It’s mostly orange but it has a big white spot (Mars).
Mars is 0.107x earth. It is 4,221 miles long(Mars). It’s142miles away from the
sun(Mars). The fourth planet from the sun(Mars).
Mars has two moons. One moon is small and ones big. It rotates in 24
hours and 37 min. Mars temperature gets down to 23* F and up to 268* F.
So this is all about Mars.

Do you know about Mars?
It is red because of it’s rocks and sand. And because of it’s rocks and
sand it has lots of swirls(mars).
Mars is 4,218 miles wide, that is smaller that Earth
(www.nasaforkids.com). Mars is the 4th planet in the solar system, that is between
Earth & Jupiter(www.nasaforkids.com).
Mars has 2 moons Phobos and Deimos. Phobos is moving closer to Mars each
year, so in about 50,000 years no one will ever see it because it is probably going to
crash in to Mars forming rings around it like the outer planets
(www.nasaforkids.com).
Mars has lots of peeks. One of those peeks is 2.5 million km high ,that is 3 times
higher than Mount Everest, wow that is high.
Now you know more about Mars.

Jupiter
Maddy M
Jupiter is a planet in the solar system.
Jupiter is kind of reddish. It is red because red clouds cover it’s surface
(Planet facts.com). Jupiter looks like it has a dark red spot that is bigger than earth.
(Smithsonian website about planets).
Jupiter is 89,405 miles in diameter. Jupiter’s mass is 317.8 times Earth’s
mass(Welcome to the planets). Jupiter is the fifth planet from the sun. Jupiter is
also 483,700,000 miles from the sun(The planets).
According to A Guide To The Planets Jupiter has 63 moons. Also
Jupiter’s moons are pretty big and they have names but there are too many to say.
Did you know that Galileo discovered 4 of Jupiter’s moons and they are called the
gallelaen moons. Jupiter is named after Zeus or the romans would call him Jupiter
(Jupiter). Jupiter has rings just like Saturn but they are too dark to see(the planets).
Did you know that the dark red spot on Jupiter is actually a storm (planet facts).
Don’t you agree that Jupiter is an interesting planet.

My planet’s name is Saturn.
Saturn is red, yellow, orang and tan. It’s gases is what makes it those
colors and it’s rings is it’s design(Saturn).
It’s size is 74,978 miles (120,660 km) and it is the second biggest planet
in the solar system. It is also the sixth planet away from the sun (Saturn).
Saturn has 18 moons. It’s moons are big and there names are Titan,
Pan, and Mimas (Saturn). The three most interesting things about Saturn are. It’s
mass is 95 times more than earth. Saturn has a giant white spot and Saturn’s moon
Mimas has a giant crater (kids astronomy.com).
That is all about Saturn.

Saturn is a planet in our solar system.
The colors of Saturn are brown, gray ,and, red. The reason why it is
that color is because gas giant surrounds it. (kids astronomy.com)
Saturn is 80,798000miles long. Saturn place in space is 6 planet away
from the sun and second largest planet in our solar system ( around the
galaxy ).
Saturn has 53 moon, a moon of saturn is titan. (kid astronomy .com ). Did
you know because saturn is wider than earth you would weigh more. (saturn ) Did
know you saturn is god of the greek (planet in our solar system).

My planet is uranus.
Uranus is blue. It is blue because it is a ice giants (book of uranus).
Uranus has white lines(planets).
Uranus is 31,763 miles long. It is bigger than earth’s moon (solar
system). Uranus is 7th from the sun. It is after saturn (Book of uranus).
Uranus has 27 moons. Some of the names are Juliet, Cordelia, Bianca,
Cupid and ophelia (book of uranus). Uranus is an ice giant. Uranus has rings.
Uranus is really on it’s side (planets).

Uranus is a planet in the solar system.
Uranus is a blue and green planet. The blue and green comes from the
methane gas surrounding it (Planets for kids.com).According to Planets for kids,
Uranus has 11 rings.
Uranus’s size is 32,193 miles. It’s four times the size of Earth (Peter and
paul around the galaxy.com).Uranus is the seventh planet in the solar system. It’s
1.75 billion miles from the sun(Kids astronomy.com).
Surrounding Uranus, there are 27 moons. All moons are small and big.Uranus’s
largest moons are Oberon,Titania,Umbriel,Ariel, and Miranda(Uranus the
sideways planet).Uranus is so far away that about 200 years scientists could not
make how quickly it turns on it’s axis(A guide to the planets).Did you know a
meteoroid crashed into Uranus, that’s why it’s on it’s side(The planets in our solar
system).Uranus was the first planet discovered by a telescope(Kids astronomy.com).
After all I love Uranus.

Neptune is the 8th planet in the solar system!!!!!
Neptune is a blue planet. It is blue because of the gas surrounding it.
Neptune has the great dark spot(Neptune).
Neptune is four times the size of Earth. The diameter is 49,532 km
(equilateral). Neptune is the 8th planet. Neptune is 30.1 astronomical units from
the sun(www.planetsforkids.org/planet-neptune:htn) .
Neptune has 8 moons. They are both , big & small. Some of the
names are Triton , Nereid , & Sea Nymhs. Three facts are , in the same year
Neptune was first seen ,1846, its first moon was found, named Triton! Triton spins
anti-clockwise & Neptune spins clockwise. Voyager 2 took 9,000 pictures of
Neptune(Neptune & www.planetsforkids.org/planet-neptune:htnland)

Do you know about Pluto?
Pluto is a blueish gray color. It is this color because of the rocks it’s
made of.Pluto is solid gray with no design. It is this color because of the rocks it is
made of.(www.nineplanets.com)
Pluto’s diameter is 1,423 miles. That makes it the smallest planet. It is
only twice the size of it’s moon.(www.peterandpaularoundthegalaxy.com)Pluto is
3.5 billion miles away from the sun at it’s closest. It is the last planet from the sun.
(The Solar System)
Pluto only has 1 moon. It’s name is Charon.Charon is almost the size
of Pluto.(Pluto)Pluto’s orbit intersects with Neptune’s.(www.orbitoftheplanets.com)
