In this assignment you will choose one of the topics above if you are working alone or two if you are working in a group
of two.

2. Use the Particle Theory of Matter (which you learned in Activity 1) to explain your topic. Check your science notebook
for your summary points about the Particle Theory of Matter.
e.g. The Particle Theory explains that both pure substances and mixtures are made up of particles and these particles are
in constant motion. The particle theory also explains other ways in which pure substances and mixtures are similar as
well as how they are different. Your explanation should contain all these details.

Particle Theory of Matter. Your product choices are given below. This product’s purpose is not only to demonstrate what
you know about your topic, but to teach others about your topic, as well. As part of this creation, there should be an
opportunity for those using it to check their understanding of what they have learned (e.g., through an integral quiz).
Your product will be shared with others.
If you are working in a group of two you may make two products, one to explain each topic, or create one product that
