**Monday – Feb. 6, 2017**
A.M. Students Gone to High School for Electives Fair and Tour
ACT Aspire Practice Test (Domain = Statistics and Probability) – Students will work through the
practice test. **Due Thursday for an application grade**
HOMEWORK = Continue working on ACT Aspire Practice Test and make corrections to Unit 8 Test and
corrections to Stations 3-8 assignments
**Tuesday – Feb. 7, 2017**
Warm-Up – ACT Aspire Practice Problems
RE-TEACH Unit 8: Polynomials…. Big Ideas 1-3
Standards – A-SSE1, A-APR1, N-RN1
LEARNING TARGET:
 I can classify, add and subtract, and multiply polynomials
RE-TEACH UNIT 8 – POLYNOMIALS – Students didn’t score well overall on the Unit 8 Test last week, so
teacher will re-teach concepts.
Formative Assessment – Exit Slip – Teacher will check for understanding by giving students 3
problems (covering Big Ideas 1-3) to complete towards end of class.
HOMEWORK – Finish making corrections to Unit 8 Test and corrections to Stations 3-8 assignments
**Wednesday – Feb. 8, 2017**
Unit 8: Polynomials RE-TEST
Standards – A-SSE1, A-APR1, N-RN1
Unit 8 RE-TEST – Students will take a Unit 8 Test again (similar test, but not the exact same)
 All students will re-test
 MUST SHOW ALL WORK!!
 Highest score will be recorded
HOMEWORK – Finish ACT Aspire Practice Test – Statistics and Probability

BEGIN Unit 9: Factoring Polynomials
Standards – A-SSE2 (8)
LEARNING TARGET:
 I can find factors and greatest common factors of numbers and polynomials
Big Idea 1: Factors and GCFs – NOTES (PowerPoint) – Students will take notes
Partner Practice – Students will work with a partner to practice Big Idea 1 concepts
HOMEWORK – textbook pg. 459 (18-36) evens only
**Friday – Feb. 10, 2017*
Warm-Up – ACT Aspire Practice Problems
Unit 9: Factoring Polynomials
Standards – A-SSE2 (8)
LEARNING TARGET:
 I can factor polynomials by the GCF
Big Idea 2: Factoring by GCF – NOTES (PowerPoint) – Students will take notes
Partner Practice – Students will work with a partner to practice Big Idea 2 concepts
HOMEWORK – textbook pg. 467 (28-54) every other even (28, 32, 36, etc)
