REPUBLIC OF RWANDA SOUTHERN PROVINCE MUHANGA DISTRICT Module 1 Unit 1 Qualities of a Good Leader Purpose of this session: To identify qualities of a good leader Audience: Members of the PTCs of all the schools in the sector, including the headteacher and Pastor, the Executive Secretary of the Sector, This session should be run with the Sector Education Officer, it is a collaborative training session. (5mins) Why is leadership important? (20mins) Participants will be able to recognise that there are different styles of leadership They will understand that the involvement of staff is an essential element of good leadership Participants will understand the difference between leadership, management and administration Activity Register, name labels, school name labels.
