New Ways to Study Spelling Words
1. Fancy Letters - Use old magazines, catalogs, or newspapers to cut
out letters and glue them down to spell your words!
2. ABC Order- Write your words in ABC order!
3. Basketball Spelling- Shoot a basketball. Every time you make a
basket, you get a letter. Spell out your spelling words!
4. Hangman- Play hangman with your spelling words! Get your mom,
dad, brother, sister, or neighbor to play with you!
5. Rainbow Write- Use different colored markers to write your
spelling words into a rainbow.
6. Story- Write a story using ALL of your spelling words.
7. Scrabble- Use Scrabble tiles to spell out your words!
8. Stair Steps- Write your words as if they are stairs and add one
letter each time.

9. Shave Them!- Have your mom or dad spray some shaving cream on
a cookie sheet. Use your fingers to write your words in the shaving
