Timpanogos District Annual Varsity Turkey Shoot (Sporting Clay Pigeons) Date Saturday, November 5, 2016 Starting at 8:30 am Cost $6.00 per boy and $6.00 per adult shooter. There are 5 different shooting stations. Teams will rotate through the stations each boy shooting 5 times at each station. Teams sign up in 15 min. time slots, by going to the link below; (copy and paste in your browser.) If you have 10 or more boys. Please sign up for 2 time slots. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. Teams arrive, sign in, receive scoring card. NRA approved instructor goes over safety rules. Teams rotate through the stations, coaches keep score. When they are finished, they come back to the sign in area, turn in score cards and get cracker barrel. Scoring: Number of targets hit divided by number of boys per team, for a team average. Announcement of team placement is done via phone and email. And also announced at Round Table. First place team is treated to a Dutch oven turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Hosted by John and Janet Rose. And if there is enough money, other places will get prizes awarded at round table. Don’t forget 2 deep leadership and tour plans. You need to bring your own shot guns (in cases) and shells. Each shooter will need a box of 25 shells. We encourage the coaches to shoot. (but your targets are not scored.) Take Exit 278 (Pioneer Crossing in American Fork) Go west on Pioneer Crossing past Redwood Road to Pioneer Crossing joins hwy 73. Go approx. 6 mi, the gate to Eagle Mountain is on the left, you will be turning right (North) on a dirt road through the gap in the snow fence. Look for the orange Turkey shoot sign by the road.
