COMPANY BACKGROUND
Powdr, an adventure lifestyle company, is best known for its eight mountain resorts including
Copper Mountain, Killington Resort, Pico Mountain, Mt. Bachelor, Boreal Mountain Resort, Soda
Springs Mountain Resort, Lee Canyon and Gorgoza Park. The company also owns Woodward
camps and progression centers across the US, events company Human Movement Management,
and media company Outside Television.
POSITION SUMMARY
Digital photo/video lab instructors are responsible for the overall day-to-day operations in the
photo/video department. Expected to organize, supervise, and instruct in daily activities. Digital
Lab director should be involved in the every-day life of our campers, “market” activities to
campers, be prepared to entertain homesick campers, and take the initiative to involve campers in
activities, competitions, etc. Our ideal Digital Lab director is enthusiastic, self-motivated, well
organized, extroverted, and loves helping children to explore their own creativity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
 Creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere for our campers.
 Experience working with children and having good organizational skills.
 Allowing campers the opportunity to express themselves through
Photography/Videography.
 Teaching campers how to operate video cameras or digital photography equipment.
 Teaching campers the fundamentals of editing using Adobe Suite Software and Equipment.
 Creative ability that can be extended to campers in a teaching environment.
 Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
 Responsible for organizing a weekly festival to unveil camper/staff Videos and
photography.
SECONDARY FUNCTION:
 Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
 Responsible for maintaining inventory of supplies.
 Responsible for ordering supplies and having equipment ready and functioning on a daily
basis.
 Responsible for the clean-up and organization of the Digital Lab area.
 Responsible for scheduling assistant staff to scheduled monitoring times.
 Responsible for organizing Digital Media Content for future use in the marketing
department.
TECHNICAL SKILL SET
 Knowledgeable with the Adobe Creative Suite software.
 Knowledgeable with Final Cut Pro, X, 7 editing software.
 Knowledgeable with DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex Cameras) HD video/photography
cameras.
 Knowledgeable with Standard Definition 3 chip cameras.
 Knowledgeable with some film processing and shooting film cameras.
 Knowledgeable with all office applications including Microsoft & Google Docs.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
 2+ years of experience in camps and/or action sports.
 2+ years of experience in a Digital Content Creation, Photo or Video.
 Experience interacting with children in a teaching environment.
 Passionate in living an adventure lifestyle.
