Integumentary System
Function: reacts to external environmental conditions
and protects the body’s deeper tissue
Structure: skin, hair, nails, sweat glands
Respiratory System
Function: breathing supplies oxygen to the blood and
gets rid of Carbon Dioxide (CO2)
Structure: Includes airways such as the trachea, as
well as lungs and aveoli
Circulatory System
Function: circulates blood through the body, supplies
oxygen and nutrients, and removes waste
Structure: heart, arteries, veins
Excretory System
Function: filters, collects, and removes excess fluids
and wastes from the bloodstream
Structure: kidneys & bladder
Immune System
Function: protects body by fighting sickness and
disease, such as caused by bacteria and virus
Structure: lymph nodes, tonsils, spleen
Reproductive System
Function: male and female systems used to produce
offspring
Structure: Female = uterus & overies
Male= Penis & testicles
