Field Maintenance






Contract ~Are we ready? Need to finalize all changes. Ted & Paul agreed to changes.
Grafitti on dumpsters & equipment shed on the farm field~ Mike Horan called the dumpster company to
change the dumpster size
Porta potties are changed once a week now from twice a week
Ted is getting the weeds out. Trying to get a hold of the weekend warriors.

DVD to Ted. Gregg will make more and have them at the Snack Shack to hand out.
Possible volunteer work party ~ 12/19 Gregg will send out an e-mail to potential managers
1. Bleachers
2. Scorekeepers booth ~ we’re going to hold off for now until weather gets better
3. Termite damage ~ $1,000 estimate from Pacific Coast and Termite. Ted will get 2 additional
quotes
4. AA Equipment shed
5. Pitching mounds

BOD 2010 volunteer applications now due - (currently available online)
 Has everyone turned one in? Only 1 not turned in from BoD
 Once managers are approved, we need to get them to turn theirs in. Kevin will keep a list and any
Manager that has not turned one in prior to tryout will not be permitted on the field
Field Use –
 Practice field coordinator ~ Gregg sent Mike Horan last year’s matrix
Housekeeping items – Some may need to be revisited.
 Division age structure (limit Major division to 11s and 12s) – Done. However depending on the number
of 11’s and 12’s that are available, some 10’s may be warranted.
 Sent another email to Matt Braun from CPLL again on 12/8. CPLL has not given an answer yet.
Marketing for signups
 Update on banners, marketing. Need to get them all put up.

o How many signups thus far. Early bird done 146 so far.
o Scholarships – Can scholarships do online, have we figured out the coupon idea??? Yes.
o Do we want to offer a $0 button so people can pay later? Not a good idea. Lance will put the
application on the website
Verification night ~ verification vs tryout numbers

 Coach or Manager on BoD ~ 9 applied. We can only have 7 Managers/Coaches on the Board.

 Cannot have a majority of the Board as Coaches or Managers

 Marie has gotten a lot done
 Opening Day ~ Rex put together the itinerary for the day SJ Giants Speed pitch, jumpy house, sponsor
booth, possibly Gigante
 Pictures 8am – March 13th Rex is confirming with Greg McCracken at Silicon Valley Photo. Confirmed.
 Hit-a-Thon – Marie K. has agreed to chair this event. She will coordinate her efforts with Rex.
