“The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn”
Travel Brochure
As you read Huckleberry Finn, make notes on the sites that Huck, Tom and Jim visit or see. Your
assignment will be to create a travel brochure that details the sights of the Mississippi River that
one would see on a Huckleberry Finn tour.
You work in a travel agency and have decided that Huck’s journey is one that should be
taken by many people. You are going to make a brochure that will entice people to go along the
river and experience the adventures Huck experienced. You need to write and illustrate a travel
brochure that shows at least five of the sights Huck saw and the activities in which he participated.
Anything that is in the novel or movie can be discussed or drawn. You also need to make sure you
have a title for your journey; this is what goes on the front of the brochure. You will be graded on
spelling and correct grammar, so make sure you edit! You may create your brochures using a
computer program, or by hand drawing; however, neatness will count!
What to Include: **You must have the following items on your project** MUST BE IN A
BROCHURE FORMAT
 a description of the tour including (25 pts) ____________

Transportation- Arts and culture, including museums, theaters, places to visit
Languages and Local dialect
Food that the area is known for
Pictures/graphics
