Describe why Hera got angry and how the narcissus flower came to be. Scoring Guidelines: Hera was fond of the lovely nymph Echo but Echo talked too much. Hera grew tired of the sound of Echo’s voice. Echo always tried to have the last word and Hera thought it to be disrespectful. Hera told Echo she could have the last word but it would not be her own. Echo prayed to Hera that Narcissus might love without return. Narcissus fell in love with Echo and cried because he couldn’t embrace Echo. Narcissus died beside the pool and Aphrodites, the goddess of love and flowers took pity on him and sprang up a white flower with golden petals which are called naricissus. Pecos Bill was discovered behind the bushes in the wild by a beekeeper named Cactus Joe. Pecos Bill worked with Cactus Joe as a beekeeper and learned how to get honey from bees.
