nucleic acid moieties is generally the divalent ion of this element. It is also the primary cation in forsterite,
an end member of the olivine series. This element replaces some of the calcium in calcite to form
dolomite, and is the central ion in the porphyrin ring of chlorophyll. FTP identify this metal found in
