Lab 1: Voodoo Pickle Man
Objective: Label and dissect your “pickle-man” according to the directional terms
Materials: Markers/Sharpies
Pickle
Toothpicks
Post-It Notes
Pen
Scalpel
Dissecting Pans
Pre-Lab Activity:
Sketch and name your pickle-man below. Be sure to add all directional terms to
prepare you for the activity.
Directions:
1. Retrieve all materials needed for you and your partner.
2. Create toothpick flags using post-its, be sure to label and draw arrows using
your vocab list of directional terms.
3. Color the toothpicks for the arms and legs a solid color with the marker.
4. Insert the arms and legs.
5. Label the directions of the body with the toothpicks. Be creative and use the
scalpels if needed for more complex terms (ex: deep vs. superficial)
6. When completed, show instructor and receive stamp below.
