SS10W Imperialism Project
Goal:
Students will, using a variety of sources, successfully research an event or personality from the
USA in the time period 1898 - 1941
Students will create a research report complete with bibliography of not less than three typed pages.
Students will create a Facebook page complementing their project
Students will create a diorama of a portion of their topic
Students will present their projects to class
Procedure:
1. Select a project topic from the list of provided topics
2. Obtain research materials to gather information
3. Type up a minimum three page reports on the person or event using the research materials
gathered-make sure you write this in your own words. Maximum font size 12 point.
4. Select an event or a portion of your topic to put into diorama form.
5. Make your Facebook page for your person or someone from the time period you are
researching
6. Make sure you have the checklist signed off for each step-check the dates carefully.
7. Put your written report into a three-clip folder complete with a title page.
8. Create a short presentation on your topic for class.
Grades:
Report: 100 points
Facebook Page: 50 points
Diorama: 80 points
Bibliography: 20 points
Presentation: 50 points
