Directions: Using the websites provided:
1. respond to the following questions IN YOUR OWN WORDS on pages 82-83 of
your Interactive Notebook. You do not need to write the question but you do need to
write answers in COMPLETE SENTENCES.
2. Cut and paste a picture of the event, person or conflict onto ONE word document in
order and # accordingly.(you may need to resize your pictures to fit on one page)
1. Find information on the slave Dred Scott. Describe what his court case
was about. Who was the judge, what date did it take place, what was the
verdict etc. Cut and paste a picture of Dred Scott and the Judge onto your
word document.
2. Who was Harriet Beecher Stowe and what famous book did she write?
What was the book about? Cut and paste a picture of the author and her
book onto your word document.
3. Name the two states admitted to the Union in the Missouri Compromise.
What year did this take place? What line is at Missouri’s southern border?
What does it mean? Find the map as shown in example and cut and paste it

1850. What two territories were given popular sovereignty. Find the map
