INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Please read the Part VIII of Building and Construction Authority (Importers’ Licensing)
(Amendment) Regulations 2016 before making an application.
2.
Please complete all sections of this form (all fields are mandatory except stated otherwise).
3.
The signing this form must one of the following officers of the incorporated entity or partnership,
namely Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director, Director, General Manager, Partner.
4.
You are to submit BY HAND the following documents along with this form:(a) a copy of your business profile* obtained from the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory
Authority (ACRA) (*date of request of business profile should not be more than one month
from the date of submission of AA application); and
(b) a copy of the ISO/IEC 17025 certification for your laboratory.
5.
If the person(s) named under section D of this form to carry out your applied test(s) is/are not a
designated authorised analyst(s), you are required to enclose Form AA1 duly completed by
this/these person(s).
6.
If any persons named under section D of this form to carry out your applied tests is a designated
authorised analyst, you are required to enclose a copy of BCA’s authorised analyst designation
letter for that person.

as it deems appropriate for the purposes of verifying the accuracy of the information provided herein.
3. My attention has been drawn to regulation 28(7) of the BCA (Importers’ Licensing) (Amendment)
Regulations 2016 which reads as follows:28(7) The Authority may refuse to designate an applicant as an authorised analyst or renew his or its
designation as an authorised analyst, as the case may be, if —
(a) the applicant is an undischarged bankrupt or has gone into compulsory or voluntary liquidation other than
for the purpose of amalgamation or reconstruction;
(b) the Authority is of the opinion that —
(i) in the case of an individual, the applicant is not of good character and reputation; or
(ii) in the case of a body of persons, any of the partners, directors or other officers of that body having
charge and direction over the conduct by that body of any analysis, test or examination for the
evaluation of any essential construction material is not of good character and reputation; or
(c) the Authority is of the opinion that the applicant is not able to carry out the duties of an authorised analyst
effectively and with honesty and integrity.
