Overall Purpose of the Job:
To coordinate a program to build the capacity of member groups of the ECPAT
International network to develop appropriate care services and systems of protection
for child victims of CSEC.
Primary Tasks:
1. To promote awareness of good models of psychosocial and recovery services for
victims of CSEC, through presentations and workshops, at both national and local
level.
2. To assess the needs of NGOs providing direct services to CSEC victims, and to
design and deliver tailored training programs to build the skills and capacity of
caregivers to develop specialized care services for sexually exploited children.
3. To facilitate and support the development and strengthening of national and
regional networks of direct care service agencies to advocate for the protection
and rehabilitation of child victims of CSEC.
4. To support the establishment and development of child protection strategies and
systems, including the development of Minimum Standards for care services, with
ECPAT partners.
5. To develop the knowledge-base and technical expertise of the ECPAT
International Secretariat in the care and protection of children.
6. To initiate, develop and coordinate a youth participation project to ensure the role
of young people in combating CSEC.
7. To develop training materials, resources and good models of practice, and to
devise strategies for ensuring the accessibility of these publications and
information throughout the network.
8. To develop and maintain, in collaboration with the Information Department, an
electronic database of direct care agencies and resource persons.
9. To assist the Deputy Director and the Executive Director in fundraising for the
project activities and to report to funding agencies as required.

Person Specification:
Essential Experience and Skills
1. Minimum of two years experience of direct service provision with children
and young people who have been victimized by commercial sexual
exploitation.
(THIS EXPERIENCE IS A MINIMUM REQUIREMENT FOR THIS
POST)
2. Demonstrated knowledge and experience of working with exploited, vulnerable
and marginalised children and young people at the national and international level.
3. Demonstrated understanding of, and experience in, the development of child
protection strategies and child welfare policy.
4. Experience in development of training modules and conducting training courses.
5. Knowledge of youth participation methodologies and experience of coordinating
youth activities.
6. Proven skills in program management, including experience of recruitment of
staff; supervision; organising meetings and events with partners; financial
management; and reporting.
7. Experience of working with advocacy networks in national and international
contexts.
8. Good understanding of international child rights standards and instruments and a
commitment to child rights.
9. Ability to form good working partnerships with individuals and organisations, as
well as an ability to work in an international and multi-cultural team.
10. Demonstrated communication skills in spoken and written English.
11. Computer literacy, particularly knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
12. Willingness to travel and carry out assignments in other regions of the world.
Desirable Experience and Skills
1. University degree in Social Work or other relevant discipline.
2. Ability to communicate effectively in a second major language of the ECPAT
network, e.g. Spanish or French.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary Range: from US Dollars 1,343 to 2,297 per month
Please note that the salary is fixed in US Dollars but paid monthly in Thai Baht, and
therefore will fluctuate from month to month.


For expatriate applicants:

Transportation from country of recruitment to Thailand and back.

Relocation allowance: 7% of total salary paid during the contract (subject to
satisfactory completion of contract and minimum of one year employment).

Shipping allowance as per the organizational rule (depending on the region), upon
presentation of invoice.
Note: Shipping and relocation allowances will only be paid if relocation occurs
within 6 months of the end of the contract.
Living Allowance: Thai Baht 5,000 per month.
