Dear Mr. Marsh
I am writing to commend you and your organization for your support of our local schools
with your sponsorship of the Science Screen Report videos.
With the current financial crisis it is almost impossible to take students on a field trip, so
the next best thing to being there is to educate students through current and timely
science videos. Our 6th grade has used several of the current issue videos with their unit
on space, and our 7th grade will shortly be using the one on the tarantula with our animal
unit. The entire school benefited from the video about robotics as it supplied background
information and inspiration to our students as our HMS Robotics team built a robot for
the annual competition we participate in each year.
I am looking forward to the next issue. Sixth grade can use the one on clouds with their
weather unit, seventh grade can use the one on the red crab when we study invertebrate
animals, and eighth grade can use the one on propulsion with their unit on forces in
physical science.
It is refreshing to see local businesses that are willing to devote materials, goods, or time
to help out our public schools. It sets a wonderful example for students to see others
share and help. Your organization is an asset to our community and, as such, deserves to
be recognized.
