Homework Bingo Choose one activity from the game board each night to complete for homework. Just like regular Bingo you MUST make a row. You may choose to do any four in a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal row. Spelling Pyramid Write your spelling words in pyramid form. Example: S Sh Sho Shoe Five Times Each Write you spelling words five times each. Consonants and Vowels Write your spelling words; use a blue colored pencil for consonants and a red colored pencil for vowels. SpellingCity.com Spend at least twenty minutes doing activities for your spelling words on Spelling City.com and have your parents your homework sheet to show that you did it. Sentences Write a sentence for each spelling word that shows that you understand what it means. Alliterative Phrases or Sentences Choose 5 of your spelling words and write five alliterative phrases or sentences. An alliteration uses the same initial letter. You may include a word or two that do not begin with the same initial letter. Be sure to underline your spelling words. Examples: Deep down in the dungeon tiny town sheep shout Word Power Write a synonym and antonym for each spelling word. Computer Words Type 10 of your spelling words on a computer. If you have a printer, you can print your words and turn them in with your homework. Print Awareness Look through several magazines and newspapers. Cut your spelling words out of magazines and newspapers and create a collage. Shadow Words Write your spelling words in pencil. Trace your words with two different colored markers.
