alphabetical order.

each sentence.
Find 10 of your words in
a dictionary and write
the definition.
Make a word scramble,
word search, or
crossword puzzle on your
own or use a website like
http://www.puzzlemaker.com (or any site
that you find to create a
puzzle)
Write each word.
Circle the vowels and
underline the
consonants. Make a
tally chart to record
the number of vowels
vs. the number of
consonants
Write silly sentences
(alliterations) using
the first letter sound in
the spelling word. (Ex:
human - Harry Hippo
has a human helper.
Choose 10 words. Using
only the letters in the
word make a new
word. You don’t have
to use all the letters. Ex.
asleep - leap
Use the computer to
type each word in a
different font. (Handwrite
your own fonts if you
can’t get to a
computer.) You may
also email this to me to
save ink/paper.
Count the number of
syllable in each word
and write it beside
the word.
Make acrostic poems
with 10 of the words.
Ex: bank
Find a rhyming word for
at least 10 of your
words (if possible; some
words can be tricky)
