Main Purpose of the Job:



To assist in all areas of financial support ensuring that the financial records are accurate and up
to date ensuring that all financial procedures are adhered to
To provide administrative support to MSR
To ensure that MSR adhere to all University financial regulations
Key Selection Criteria:
 Experience of processing financial transactions including orders, invoices and purchase cards
 Knowledge of the University’s financial regulations
 Accurate data inputting skills
 Knowledge & experience of using Access and Excel
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
 To assist the Resource Manager in all areas of financial support and administration
 To ensure that all MSR financial transactions are processed and accounted for including
purchase orders, invoices, recharges, journals and purchase card transactions
 To ensure all financial policies and procedures are adhered to
 Dealing with order and payment queries from suppliers
 To ensure that that in house access database is accurate and up to date at all times
 To assist with reconciling all financial transactions
 Maintaining MSR’s inventory
 Assisting with staff recruitment administration
 Booking course/conference events all associated domestic travel arrangements
 Receiving visitors and guests and assisting with general enquiries
 Sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing mail
 Preparing timesheets for student ambassadors
 Maintaining and setting up MSR equipment for meetings as required
 Processing and data entry of overseas travel forms adhering to University policies
 To assist with publication stock control and distribution
 Handle requests from agents for promotional materials and coordinate all bulk mailing/freight to
agents in line with agreed processes and procedures
 Booking and ordering of goods and services for MSR
 IT Coordinator for MSR – logging the necessary helpdesk calls
 Estates Coordinator for MSR – liaising with Estates and logging the necessary helpdesk calls
 To contribute to cross-departmental activity as required
 To adhere to all relevant Health & Safety legislation
 To adhere to the University’s financial regulations
 To work at weekends and out of ours as required
 To work at USW campuses as required
 To undertake other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the post and grade as directed
by the Director of Department of their nominee
