Course Syllabus for World Studies Elective, SST 107, .5 Credit 1. Course Description Through use of Plato curricula, will demonstrate understanding of world history. Students will investigate of past events and draw parallels to current world issues. Students will synthesize historical and current events to analyze the impact of historical events upon societies, governments, cultures, and individuals of current times. Learning Goals/Objectives Students will Understand and analyze historical time and chronology Understand events, trends, individuals, and movements shaping the world Examine the influence of culture on the world Understand the origin and impact of ideas and technological developments on world history Analyze how the contributions of various cultural groups influence society. -Washington State Essential Academic Learning Requirements 2.
