Body Systems and Organs
Your body (and all other multicellular organs) is a very organized set of body systyems which work together to keep
you alive. Each of the systems is made up of several (or many) organs which work together to enable the system to
do its job. Organs in your body which are very close to each other could belong to very different systems. For
example – your trachea and your esophagus both share the space in your throat – but one is part of the respiratory
system and one is part of the digestive system.
How well do you know the systems and organs in your body?
Table 1 below contains the names of 11 main systems of the body and the major organs in each. Unfortunately,
they have all been mixed up by your crazy teacher. Your job, or the job of your group is to organise these names so
they fit correctly into the second table (check out this table before you start).
