Characteristics of Pulsed Virtual Cathode Oscillator for Nitrogen Gas
Characteristics of Pulsed Virtual Cathode Oscillator for Nitrogen Gas

... The Virtual cathode oscillators (vircators) have been studied quite extensively over the last two decades(1,2) In principle, a vircator employs an intense, mostly relativistic electron beam of density greatly exceeding that in a space-charge-limited diode (3,4,5). This leads to the formation of an u ...

... These advantages and the deficiencies of the other displays made the OLED the most viable option for the HMD. For instance, AMEPD technology is insufficient for use in a HMD because the technology is not far enough along in its development to produce good true-color displays. An AMELD would need a v ...

... viewpoint. It was, e.g., shown earlier that the efficiency of a Power Factor Correction (PFC) stage can be enhanced by 2% by replacing the conventional benchmark ultra-fast Si diode with SiC Schottky [6]. This high efficiency renders SiC diodes as optimized solutions, e.g., for high-efficiency server powe ...

P–n diode

This article provides a more detailed explanation of p–n diode behavior than that found in the articles p–n junction or diode.A p–n diode is a type of semiconductor diode based upon the p–n junction. The diode conducts current in only one direction, and it is made by joining a p-type semiconducting layer to an n-type semiconducting layer. Semiconductor diodes have multiple uses including rectification of alternating current to direct current, detection of radio signals, emitting light and detecting light.
