It is also important to note that photosynthetic efficiency can decline at the highest tissue water contents (Robinson et al., 2000) and tolerance of complete submergence depends on the species (see Fig. 3f and Wasley et al., 2006b). In addition, moss at wet ...

... Summarising the literature, some studies employ international data but most use data from a single country. 7 Particularly in cross-country studies data are frequently aggregated over large, climatically diverse regions. Most studies include temperature and precipitation but far fewer include other ...

... The coarse resolution of GCM data necessitate using downscaling and analytical studies to determine the most appropriate GCM for assessing climate change impacts at the watershed scale. The lack of knowledge behind the selection of the right number and type of GCMs is argued recently by Xu et al. [2 ...

Likewise, any variation in weather or climatic conditions adversely

... Under this sub-theme, we need to understand and observe the changes in weather parameters as well as the changes in biotic and abiotic parameters around us. This will enable us to study the effect of weather/climate on ecosystems. Systematic observations, measurement, and analysis of weather paramet ...

Instrumental temperature record

The instrumental temperature record shows fluctuations of the temperature of earth's climate system. Initially the instrumental temperature record only documented land and sea surface temperature, but in recent decades instruments have also begun recording ocean temperature. Data is collected from thousands of meteorological stations around the globe and through satellite observations. The longest-running temperature record is the Central England temperature data series, that starts in 1659. The longest-running quasi-global record starts in 1850.
