... connects R646 to ground and brings the soft clip control voltages down to a much lower level than with SW202/R633. This level is set so that the amplifier's output cannot swing far enough positive or negative for the EDP circuits to turn on and connect the outputs to the high voltage supplies. Thus ...

... The fact that voltage is an across variable and exists between two points has resulted in a double-subscript notation that defines the first subscript as the higher potential. In Fig. 7(a), the two points that define the voltage across the resistor R are denoted by (a and b). Since (a) is the first ...

... When a parallel magnetic field (Hab ≥ 1 Tesla) is applied after the sample has been cooled to 5.5K in zero-field (zero-field cooling: ZFC), the reflectivity edge shifts to higher energy, but simultaneously the reflectivity in the low energy side rapidly decreases, forming a peak. This result demonst ...

Josephson voltage standard

A Josephson voltage standard is a complex system that uses a superconductive integrated circuit chip operating at 4 K to generate stable voltages that depend only on an applied frequency and fundamental constants. It is an intrinsic standard in the sense that it does not depend on any physical artifact. It is the most accurate method to generate or measure voltage and, by international agreement, is the basis for voltage standards around the World.
