... frequency and damping. There are many measures of describing damping. This paper prefers the damping ratio Q = 1/(2ξ ) and the quality factor Q, which is approximately equal to a resonance gain of the lightly damped systems. For a normalized value of the quality factor Q the substructure natural fre ...
How to Find Ground Loops and Prevent AC Hum
How to Find Ground Loops and Prevent AC Hum

... When you hear hum in an audio system, it's almost always caused by a loop antenna effect between two or more pieces of gear, across signal lines. A loop antenna is formed by having a loop of wire where the beginning and end of the loop are connected - the loop can be any shape. The loop antenna(e) i ...

... During the start-up sequence, when the mode pin is switched from standby to mute, the condition at the output terminals of the power stage are checked. In case of a short of one of the output terminals to VDD or VSS the start-up procedure is interrupted and the systems waits for un-shorted outputs. ...

The preamble based synchronization techniques are equipped with a preamble sequence in the header of each OFDM frame and this sequence indicates the starting position of the frame at the receiver. Selection of this mathematical sequence is important so as to derive optimised offset estimation. They ...

HD-MAC

HD-MAC was a proposed broadcast television systems standard by the European Commission in 1986 (MAC standard), a part of Eureka 95 project. It was an early attempt by the EEC to provide High-definition television (HDTV) in Europe. It was a complex mix of analogue signal (Multiplexed Analogue Components), multiplexed with digital sound, and assistance data for decoding (DATV). The video signal (1250 (1152 visible) lines/50 fields per second in 16:9 aspect ratio) was encoded with a modified D2-MAC encoder. HD-MAC could be decoded by a standard D2-MAC receivers (SDTV), but in that mode only 625 (576) lines and certain artifacts were visible. To decode the signal in full resolution required a specific HD-MAC tuner.
