... loud the concert is as well as how loud your friend is talking. One other thing that can help you though is whether you see their lips moving or not. If you can "correlate" their lip movement to what little that you do hear from them, it is easier to tell what they are saying. The same holds true fo ...

How to Minimize Noise in High Resolution Measurements

... For a powered sensor, you would run a separate wire from power ground at the sensor to ground at the A/D system in addition to a wire each for the plus and minus voltage signal. When a separate ground wire is used, use the DIF switch position, or otherwise insure that there are not redundant grounds ...

Enhanced fourth-power algorithm for phase estimation with

... In particular, from the average phase θn (k), the superiority of the phase estimation algorithm with separated compensation in accordance to frequency can be clearly observed. The impairments have different effects on the DDO-OFDM signal at various frequencies, and a phase estimation algorithm with ...

Source Termination Resistor Location And Its Impact On The Signal

... This situation is commonly encountered when there is not enough printed circuit board area to place the terminating resistor close to the source, for example. Field programmable gate arrays are such an example in which the pin field is too dense to allow the placement of load termination resistors c ...

HD-MAC

HD-MAC was a proposed broadcast television systems standard by the European Commission in 1986 (MAC standard), a part of Eureka 95 project. It was an early attempt by the EEC to provide High-definition television (HDTV) in Europe. It was a complex mix of analogue signal (Multiplexed Analogue Components), multiplexed with digital sound, and assistance data for decoding (DATV). The video signal (1250 (1152 visible) lines/50 fields per second in 16:9 aspect ratio) was encoded with a modified D2-MAC encoder. HD-MAC could be decoded by a standard D2-MAC receivers (SDTV), but in that mode only 625 (576) lines and certain artifacts were visible. To decode the signal in full resolution required a specific HD-MAC tuner.
