What is the importance of setting in
literature? Write an essay that explains how
writers use setting to support and develop
themes in literature. What conclusion or
implications can you draw? Cite at least
three sources, pointing out the key elements
from each source. A Works Cited page and
parenthetical references will be required
from all three sources.
The main focus in grading will be on a strong
introduction. Present the topic and general,
background information first. You then need
a thesis statement that will guide your paper.
(Thesis statement does not need to be 3-point)
Additional grading focus will be on your
ability to quote from three different sources
as well as how you document your sources in
your Works Cited.
Paper will be 3rd person, MLA style. Due
Tues, December 10th 2013.
