New York based music and sound design shop Sugarbox, headed by Creative Director/Composer Andrew
Hollander has teamed up with Francis Garcia’s, Shout It Out Loud Music (SIOL).
Andrew Hollander
Francis Garcia
In this new partnership, SIOL will provide exclusive creative direction, music supervision, and licensing
services. Sugarbox will continue to offer original music composition and sound design. SIOL will move it’s
operation into Sugarbox’s 3500sq ft. Chelsea studio.
Francis notes, "Andy's track record as a film composer, album producer and songwriter first intrigued me.
The pairing just seemed like a natural fit…one that also happens to possess a vast amount of creative
potential, as well as the added benefit of increased infrastructure." Prior to SIOL, Francis was Head of
Music Supervision and Licensing for Elias Arts, NY. “Francis brings a broad experience of working with
bands and labels…his relationships and expertise will further strengthen our position with licensing tracks
for the advertising community, as well as the utilizing his supervision and composition skills” notes
Hollander.
Francis is fresh off the heels of sponsoring and curating the successful "Day For Night Party" concert event
at this year's SXSW music festival in Austin, which featured critically-acclaimed, emerging artists:
Datarock, David Vandervelde, Shout Out Out Out Out, O'Death and Walter Meego.
Sugarbox’s recent credits include a Quaker campaign out of Element 79 Chicago and mixing a vid clip for
Gym Class Heroes. Hollander co-wrote and produced the end title track, and scored the recent Sundance
feature film hit, then Fox Searchlight acquisition, Waitress. The score was recorded/mixed at Sugarbox.
