Ex) Target, Benignus Elementary, Dr. Ross, Carter, Ford Mustang, June Verbs A verb shows action. It tells what the noun is doing. V Ex) The boy rides his bike to school. V She will shop for a birthday present. V My dad drills at his company. Verb Tenses Present Tense – The verb is taking place right now. Ex) I am working on my test. Past Tense – The verb is taking place in the past or has already happened. Ex) I walked to school with my friend yesterday. Future Tense – The verb will take place later or hasn’t happened yet. Ex) I will sing a new song in choir next week.
