JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title Job Family Marketing & Communications Manager Operations and Compliance Location Level UK. Requires travel across UK Up to £38,000 Organisation Reporting to the Director of Operations and Compliance, this role holder has accountability for the marketing and communications functions of the Charity. Job Purpose Ownership of the SkillForce Brand including brand awareness and profile raising for the SkillForce programme. Accountable for the marketing and communications strategy and plan for the Company, including training of operational staff who work remotely across England, Wales and Scotland Liaison with internal and external communications and marketing Responsible for the delivery of the marketing and any associated communications plan across SkillForce Main Responsibilities and Duties Delivery on the Charity’s overall business objectives ensuring at all times and through own leadership the marketing and communications function meets targets and delivery is planned, executed on time and in budget. In partnership with area managers, and the fundraising team, define the strategy for the areas and wider business; including opportunities to enhance product and associated services, promotional plans, customer targeting and channels to market Oversee creation of effective area level market plans and campaigns Write press releases, building and maintaining relationships with journalists, advertisers and agencies as appropriate Assist with any organisation for events and functions and produce a range of internal communication products for staff, stakeholders and clients Take the lead on the approach to digital marketing, including oversight of website content, developing and maintaining social media platforms, advertising in a range of media and liaison with third party suppliers as appropriate Design and execute a marketing strategy which supports the sales campaigns of SkillForce products to target schools and promotes SkillForce as a market leader in the education sector; working in close partnership with corporate and major donors Provide market intelligence and analysis to the Director of Operations and Compliance to ensure the SkillForce product offering is compatible with market requirements Ownership of the SkillForce brand including logo and the use of any materials bearing the brand Develop and maximise the use of social media in order to drive repeat business, attract new customers and reach a broad spectrum of interested parties including children and young people Design and delivery of the communications strategy including external marketing and public relations ensuring SkillForce maximises opportunities and methods whilst ensuring protection of reputation and brand Act as a role model in line with the Charity’s code of conduct; always ensuring compliance with the Charities governance, policies and procedures This is not a complete statement of all the responsibilities for this role.
