Education: Bachelor’s Degree required
Experience: Two (2) years experience developing and testing software, working with
Relational Database Management Systems and SQL is required including one (1) year of Java
development with tools such as JQuery, JSON, AJAX, and HTML 4/5. Additional experience
may include use of Rational Software Architect (RSA), WebSphere Application Server,
ClearCase; Windows, Solaris and LINUX operating environments; JSPs and Struts; Section 508
standards compliance; and Oracle 11g.
Functional Responsibilities: The Engineer demonstrates a detailed knowledge of Java
software development processes and standards: performs Java programming, including
software design and design patterns and applies fundamental test and evaluation concepts,
processes, practices, and procedures to testing tasks and activities; analyzes functional
business applications and design specifications and translates detailed design into computer
software; tests, debugs, and refines the computer software to produce the required product;
and/or prepares required documentation, including both program-level and user-level
documentation. The Engineer has the ability to test software developed by the Engineer, as well
as, others. The Engineer is an individual contributor with good written and verbal
communication skills.
Clearance: Requires a favorable National Agency Check with Written Inquires (NACI) with the
ability to obtain a Security+ or equivalent certification in accordance with DoD 8570-01-M
