More serious complications:

Can I be vaccinated against Flu
There are two types vaccinations available for young people at risk
Young people age 2 -17 with long term health conditions will be offered the annual flu nasal
spray in preference to the ‘flu jab’ , however some will be unable to have this,
Your doctor or nurse will advise you best as they have access to your medical information
Reasons to avoid the inhaled flu vaccine




severe asthma and are being treated with oral steroids or high dose inhaled steroids
long term health conditions such as heart or respiratory disease
a severely weakened immune system
severe egg allergy

an allergy to any of the vaccine ingredients, such as neomycin
If family member that has a severely weakend immune system. The vaccine is a live virus
as there is a slim chance that the vaccine virus may pass to them and put their health at risk
