PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
CABLEVISION - (Contracted through APEX SYSTEMS Inc), New York, NY
2012 - current
Senior Project Manager
I’m currently supporting the deployment of the world’s largest Wi-Fi network and other associated projects required
to ensure great customer experience to Cablevision subscribers.
 Cablevision’s Wi-Fi network consists in 100K access points, both indoor and outdoor..
 Supported the implementation of the Inter-MSO project which allows Comcast, Time Warner, Cox and Bright
House subscribers to roam and connect to Cablevision’s Wi-Fi hot-spots and vice-versa.
 I’m managing the implementation of a real time Java-based monitoring system for key performance indicators
that proactively handle alerts across the entire Wi-Fi network. When finished, low performance devices can be
spotted before an outage occurs.
 Designed the framework for a work order ticketing system in the Network Security Group. The new web tool
allows reducing turnaround cycle from an average of 20 days to only 72 hours.
TIME WARNER CABLE, New York, NY 2010 - 2012
Senior Project Manager
Supported facilitated and coordinated successful execution of major system integration and engineering initiatives in
New York’s network footprint. Among others, these are the largest completed projects:
 Deployed an automated RF (radio frequency) monitoring system that expedites resolution of customer
impacting issues in the HFC (Hybrid Fiber Coax) network, video baseband and high speed data. The initiative
reduced response time by more than 50% and decreased the number of service calls by 18% during the first
month of implementation.
 Integrated a Data Market Center that serves the entire New York City footprint (6MM subscribers) with IP-based
content, including standard broadcast channel grid and utilizing multi-vendor systems for Video on Demand
(VOD), ad-insertion, interactivity applications and other 3rd party solutions.
 Co-lead a corporate initiative intended to improve network reliability and performance. This program
encompasses operational changes by defining new quality metrics, resource planning and escalation path,
network updates and pursuing partnership opportunities with vendors.
 Supported regularly all major system upgrades, beta tests and provided QA evaluations for set top box firmware
updates, resulting in additional features and enhancements like Multi-Room DVR, Interactive TV, Auto-HD, and
Caller-ID on screen.

CANOE VENTURES, New York, NY
2009 - 2010
Project Manager
Managed pre-launch initiatives for the first interactive TV application rolled-out across major Cable TV operators
 Successfully lead the creation of the Sales Plan by conducting cross-functional planning with Engineering,
Marketing, Sales and Technical Operations that allowed launching the first Request For Information (RFI)
interactive application with Comcast and Time Warner Cable customers.
 Initiated the planning of the next generation of Interactive TV applications which includes Pooling, Voting and
Trivia across 20 MM households in multi cable TV operators.
MOTOROLA, Plantation, FL
1998 – 2002 & 2005 - 2009
Customer Program Manager
Managed large and mid-size telecommunication deployments in US, Latin America and Caribbean for Telefonica,
Telmex, Televisa, Net, HBO LAPS, Bellsouth and WorldMax (Holland).
 I was part of the team that deployed $300M+ Digital Video and VOIP (Triple Play solution) for Telmex across
Latin America. The different projects accounted for almost 40% of the company’s group revenue worldwide in
2008-2009. The technology installed included, among others, set top boxes, cable-modems, multimedia
terminal adapters (MTA), soft-switches, conditional access systems (CAS) and cable-modem terminal systems
(CMTS).

I led a task force dedicated to recover $7MM in engineering services provided and billed to Telmex but not
recognized by the client, achieving more than 95% success.

Supported technical sales of added value services including VOD, customized electronic guide for set top
boxes, remote CAS, as well as hardware expansions for HBO, Telefonica and other major TV and cable
operators in the Caribbean and South America, generating $20M in revenues.

Achieved six-month early completion and $3M bonus for the company by managing the deployment of 220
base stations (BTS), 2 mobile telephone switching offices (MTSO) and 2 base site controllers (BSC) for
Bellsouth as a result of the first Personal Communication System (PCS) network contract awarded in South
America that served 4M+ subscribers.
EVS BROADCAST EQUIPMENT, Fairfield, NJ 2002 - 2004
Broadcast Engineer
Supported sales and provided customer support for the entire Live Slow Motion (LSM) and Digital Cinema product
line in US and South America

footprint as the standard in video server technology.

Facilitated training for LSM operators in processes and procedures in using the system. Free-lance and inhouse operators have the ability to work across different TV facilities with ease.

Provided 24/7 customer support and troubleshooting to domestic and International customers ensuring sameday or next-day replacements when needed.

Custom-tailored video server configuration allowing clients to reach maximized efficiency of outdated equipment
when hardware upgrades where not economically affordable. I helped customers stretching their invested

OTHER ACTIVITIES AND INTERESTS
I’m an avid pilot of radio-controlled airplanes and helicopters, currently incurring into FPV (first person view) which
allows me to fly as I was “on the plane”. I love everything that flies and becoming a private pilot is in my To-Do list.
No week passes by without practicing some kind of sport; my favorites: tennis, volleyball, swimming and soccer.
Last, but not least, I also have an artistic side: I have performed as a professional magician for several years
already. The personal skills I developed being on stage keep helping me to communicate and interact with people.
After all, that is what Project Management is all about.
