Air mass: A large body of air that ha about the same temperature, air pressure and moisture through

Air pressure: The weight of air as it presses down on Earth’s surface
Atmosphere: The layers of air that surround Earth’s surface
Climate: The average weather condition in an area over a lone period of time
Condensation: The change of the state of gas to a liquid
Evaporation: The change of state from a liquid to a gas
Front: the place where two air masses meet
Polar climate: Places with polar climate have a very cold temperatures throughout the year, they are
located near the North and South Poles
Precipitation: Any form of water that falls from the sky to Earth’s surface i.e. Rain sleet snow hail
Temperate climate: Place with a this climate usually have warm dry summers and cold, wet winters
Tropical climate: A climate that is hot and rainy most of the year, it is close to the equator
Water cycle: The movement of water into the air as water vapor and back to Earth’s surface as
precipitation
Weather: The condition of the atmosphere at a certain time and place
Greenhouse effect: The process by which heat from the sun builds up near the surface of the Earth and
is trapped there by the atmosphere
