Summary Using discretion and independent judgment under the supervision of the Facility Administration and as a part of the facility management team, the Coordinator of HR facilitates and coordinates human resources activities and is a resource to administration, management and staff. The Coordinator will be responsible for providing leadership and establishing and implementing human resources strategy to go along with overall business plans and objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Maintains & advances staff development by administering a recruiting and interviewing program, counseling management team on candidate selection, performance review, safety and sexual harassment. · Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs and maintaining job descriptions to foster positive attitude toward company goals. · Maintains a pay plan conducting periodic pay surveys; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions. · Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training and supporting managers to coach and discipline employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors. · Keeps current with legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. · Administers benefits programs such as life, health and dental insurance, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance. · Provides oversight of new hire processing, worker’s compensation claims, LOA administration and Payroll processing. · Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs. · Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations. · Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization. Administers salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization. · Maintains and updates on an annual basis the Employee Handbooks for employees and employed providers.
