Health Professions at Elon University Program at a glance ✚✚ More than 50 first-year students are enrolled in Health Professions Elon 101 sections annually, and hundreds are involved in the Health Professions Advising Program. ✚✚ Students in the program are fully immersed in the liberal arts and sciences with majors including art, biology, biochemistry, business, chemistry, communications, economics, environmental studies, exercise science, human service studies, math, statistics, psychology and public health. ✚✚ Alumni attend outstanding Strong undergraduate programs provide a launchpad for medical careers E lon’s rigorous curriculum is grounded in the traditional liberal arts and sciences and complemented by nationally accredited professional and graduate programs. Students interested in health professions careers are invited to join a dedicated advising program for further professional preparation. Expert faculty advisers help students plan their academic curriculum, obtain internships and apply for graduate programs. Health professions advisers, a supplement to students’ academic advisers, work one-on-one with students, and also coordinate workshops and other programs of interest. health profession programs at the following schools: Johns Hopkins University, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, Duke University, Wake Forest University, Harvard University, Dartmouth College, University of Pennsylvania, Georgetown University, University of Alabama, University of Massachusetts, University of Mississippi, Ohio State University and University of Maryland. ✚✚ Alumni have pursued successful careers in fields including: medicine, dental medicine, veterinary medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, nutrition, physician assistant, clinical psychology and social work. M edical School Success rate 2010–2015 ✚✚ 76 percent of students with a GPA>3.6 and MCAT scores >29 were accepted. ✚✚ 70 percent of students with a GPA>3.3 and MCAT scores>29 were accepted.
