BIOLOGY. Elon University and the Biology Department invite applications for a combined
Lecturer and lab coordinator position with cell biology and physiology background. This lecturer
track position will begin in August 2017. A Ph.D. is preferred but a Masters in a biological
science is the minimum degree requirement, along with a proven commitment to excellence in
teaching. Teaching responsibilities will include labs for both cell biology, and human
physiology, as well as other courses in Biology as appropriate and Elon’s Core Curriculum
program. The successful candidate will be a broadly-trained cell biologist or physiologist with
strong organizational and communication skills. Lab coordinator responsibilities will include, but
are not limited to, establishing the semester schedules, orienting new adjuncts, organizing review
sessions, maintaining and ordering materials for 5-7 lab sections for both cell biology and
physiology labs, assisting in the hiring and training of lab prep students, and developing and
maintaining training resources for lab adjuncts. Elon is a dynamic private, co-educational,
