APPLICATIONS SPECIALIST (MEDICAL SOFTWARE INSTALLER / TRAINER):
This position is based in St. Laurent and requires regular travel. The Applications Specialist will
travel to our clients’ hospitals/clinics to install our Radiology applications, provide training to clinical staff,
and assist with implementation of our products' use. A good understanding of our products and Windows
hardware/networking configurations will be required to optimize workflow for our customers.
Travel is likely required 1-3 times per month at 5-7 days' duration at a time (compensation provided). The
possibility of advancement opportunities exist, depending on performance, skills and career goals.
Responsibilities:







Install, configure, test and troubleshoot our Radiology applications at customer sites. Note that
occasionally some work supporting Windows OS, hardware, drivers, networking services, etc.,
may be required.
Provide product training to clinical users (doctors, technologists, administrators) in person or by
internet.
Assist in the resolution of software/workflow issues.
Conduct applications testing.
Demonstrate products to potential customers in person, by internet, and/or at tradeshows (travel
may be required).
Act as escalation resource to our internal Support team.
Maintain and improve existing product and training documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Technical Skills:


Recent experience providing technical support and/or training to users (phone, web and/or in
person).
Recent experience supporting applications in a Windows environment (WinXP/7). Only
candidates who are comfortable setting up and using software in a Windows environment will be
considered.
Personal Skills:








Excellent customer service skills (email/phone/in-person).
Positive attitude and professional communication style.
Ability to speak and write perfectly in English.
Availability for regular travel within North America and internationally.
Ability to work/travel alone or as part of a team.
Canadian citizenship or valid work permit.
Valid passport (or the ability to obtain one).
Valid driver's license
Optional Skills:







Ability to speak and write in the French language.
Previous PACS or RIS work experience.
Previous experience as a medical imaging Technologist or similar.
Medical billing experience.
Previous user training experience.
Experience developing user documentation (ex: user guides, tech notes, release notes, etc.).
Recent experience configuring Windows OS, hardware, drivers, networking services, etc.
