is looking for a
Senior Marketing Manager
The Senior Marketing Manager role is part of the European Retail Banking and Wealth Management
(RBWM) Marketing function that is focused on the strategic priorities of the global RBWM businesses
and aims to support revenue growth for the business. Marketing focuses on understanding customers and
the identification, development and execution of marketing strategies, campaigns and activities that
support and strengthen the HSBC brand, drive revenue and increase customer value & satisfaction in
order to meet agreed targets and objectives at both a global and market level.
This role is responsible for delivery of the Global Marketing Strategy for RBWM Greece and potentially
in smaller markets within the EMEA Region. It also provides clear direction and guidance on the
requirements for execution and measurement of global campaigns and local business initiatives to support
business objectives.
Principal Accountabilities
 Co-creates and signs off all local Rolling Annual Marketing Plans, agreement of KPIs and
campaign activity briefs in line with Global Marketing RBWM Strategy, objectives and process.
 Deployment, activation and effectiveness of global campaigns, use of platforms, assets and
toolkits delivered to the markets to support Global Campaigns.
 Ensures that Cross Sell and Retention strategies in market are in line with the agreed strategy for
Customer Value Management created by Global Marketing RBWM.
 Provides full visibility of all major activities and spend by the smaller Markets in the Region as
part of the Global Planning and Optimisation activity and process.
 Own the relationships with the RBWM country Heads and key stakeholders.
 Works with other marketing teams within countries to establish a clear picture of activities across
business lines in the Region/markets.
 Lead the team to be ambassadors of marketing, identifying and ensuring implementation of the
marketing strategies and plans.
 Identifies and works with key stakeholders to gain buy-in and ensure that strategies and solutions
will be effectively delivered by all areas of the business.
 Drives introduction and adaptation of HSBC Group best practices. Liaise with marketing across
HSBC globally, sharing best practice, common standards and approaches.
 Represents the local markets in their region in the development of future Global Strategy and
plans.
 Provides direction, support, mentoring and coaching to the market teams in terms of Global
Standards for Marketing Excellence, process change and roll out and input to the development of
the Global Marketing Academy.
 Manages direct reports setting objectives, measuring performance and managing HR issues as
necessary within policy and guidelines.
 Ensures that the agreed Global Marketing Strategy and Planning requirement is appropriately
communicated, and deployed.
 Ensures that agreed plans are delivered, reviewed and amended in line with the agreed planning
and measurement process and governance.
 Undertakes post Implementation Reviews of campaigns/projects and improvement activities.
 Proactively identifies risks and provides mitigating actions in the event of the unexpected
influences e.g. competitor activity, economic and political events.

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
 Extensive Marketing experience in the Banking sector.
 Degree level of qualification in marketing and/or business studies preferred.
 A range of strategic and operational experience, including demonstrable success in developing
and evaluating annual plans and multi channel high profile campaign strategies. Line
management and/or experience of working with teams over multiple sites.
 Proven understanding of customer insights and their role in ideas development.
 Ability to think innovatively, shaping and communicating new concepts.
 Good understanding of technology developments and emerging consumer and industry trends.
 Proven ability to influence leadership teams.
 Proven ability to work on multi function projects demonstrating excellent relationship building
skills.
 Proven ability to be a self starter with energy and drive in a challenging and dynamic
environment.
 Able to influence at an executive and senior level and lead across functional teams to drive
improvement.
 Commitment to putting the customer at the heart of all development and implementation
activities.
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English.
 Excellent communication and presentation skills.
