About Redbiotec AG: Redbiotec AG produces recombinant proteins, protein complexes and virus-like particles for the use as novel vaccines and biologics. These protein assemblies are produced using Redbiotec’s proprietary protein coexpression platform (rePAX® technology). Our main focus is the generation of vaccine products to prevent Herpesvirus infections. Redbiotec also has an oncology program. Redbiotec AG was founded in 2006 as spin-off from the ETH Zürich and is located in the BIO-TECHNOPARK Schlieren-Zürich in Switzerland. For more information please visit www.redbiotec.ch. Your role: We are looking for a scientist to strengthen our HSV-2 vaccine development team. In this field you will be responsible for the generation of our vaccine candidates for preclinical in vitro and in vivo studies with a focus on protein expression. Therefore, experience with a strong expertise in the field of recombinant protein expression in mammalian cells, purification as well as product characterization is required. We are looking for a flexible, wellorganized, open-minded, creative and communicative team player with leadership skills to expand our motivated team. Your qualifications: - PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or similar - Proven track record in transient expression of recombinant proteins - Proven track record in establishing and characterizing stable mammalian cell lines for protein production - Experience with insect cells would be a plus - Expertise and experience in protein purification and characterization - Experience in molecular cloning would be a plus - Expertise in the field of virology/herpesviruses and/or oncology would be a plus. - Project management skills - Strong team and interpersonal skills required - Ability to supervise lab personnel - Good communication skills and entrepreneurial flair - Fluent in English (written and spoken) Starting date as soon as possible.
