Julie St. John is Chief Information Officer and President of Information Technology Group and
Investment Operations for The Capital Group Companies. She joined the executive
management team of Capital in 2007. Prior to her current role at Capital, she was Executive
Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Fannie Mae.
Julie has broad experience in strategy and planning, transformational program management,
and all aspects of global technology management. She values the role technology can play in
enabling the business, and is a member of the Capital Group Companies Board of Directors in
recognition of her contributions to the business. Ms. St. John holds an MBA in Finance from
Florida State University and a B.A. in English and Political Science from the University of
Michigan. She is a CPA, licensed in Florida, and a member of the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants. Ms. St. John was recognized as one of InfoWorld’s Most Influential CTOs
and has received the Gartner CIO Choice Award and the Computerworld Premier 100 CIO
Award. She was also included in the Wall Street Journal & Technology's 2008 Gold Book.
