FOR THE ASSIGNMENT:
“Architectural Design of Prizren Business Continuity Center BCC”
The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (hereinafter CBK) has received financing
from the World Bank – International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of
the Financial Sector Strengthening and Market Infrastructure Project (FSSMIP, and intends
to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services. The services shall include architectural
design of the Business Continuity Center placed in the city of Prizren.
The scope of services is as follows:
Adapt the existing model of the architectural and technical design as well as the physical
environment structure to be used in renovation of the BCC.
Special Note: Among other office space in this project a special attention should be given
to the adaption of the construction of the Server Room (following rigorous technical
specification to be given to the winner of this contract).
Deliverables:
A: At least 3 options of architectural specifications, design and drawings of the BCC
B: Engineering and structural specification and drawings of the BCC
C: Heating, ventilation, electrical, water and ITC, and telecom network installation plans
D: Preparation of bill of quantities and tender documents for civil works. The design and
bill of quantities should also cover fire detection and prevention
E: Document and data security and
F: Furniture and equipment
Hereby, the CBK, the agency responsible for implementation of this project, invites eligible
local candidates to indicate their CVs in providing the services. Interested Individual
consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the
services (description of similar assignments, experience in similar projects, availability of
appropriate skills, etc.).
Required qualifications:




University degree in Architecture and Civil Engineering or other relevant field;
Minimum of three (3) years of equivalent professional experience in project
designing of secure physical buildings;
Knowledge of computer applications for project designing;
Experience in calculation quality of existing buildings and their physical strength
(Statics).
Contract will be awarded to the individual consultant based on the World Bank’s
Guidelines for Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers
(May 2004 edition, revised October 2006 and May 2010). The award will be based on
“Selection of Individual Consultants’ (Section V of the Guidelines). The selection criteria
are shown below:

Assignment will be performed by the local consultant during the period starting
approximately on September through November 2012. Estimated level of efforts for the
assignment is max 20 working days including in-country work, home office work and travel.
The contract will come in to effect with the signature of both parties.
