The Role
The Product Marketing Director will work with RI’s CMO to plan and execute the packaging,
positioning and unique selling proposition for new services and data products, including market
and competitive analysis – along with design of targeted campaigns – to boost market
acceptance, leads, opportunities, revenues, and retention of accounts in the US and globally. To
support these key goals, the Product Marketing Director will also build and own our product
launch plan, roadmap and price book, working with market leadership to reflect regional
activities, priorities and COGS, and help to turn their experiences and client contacts into
compelling stories and product assets for internal (sales) and external (prospects, partners)
audiences company-wide.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•
Help to identify key market trends, and communicate impact on product strategy,
roadmaps and sales approach to team leaders.
•
Ensure RI’s product capabilities are understood by prospects across all interaction
channels, including website, sales tools, industry events, and thought leader content.
•
Manage and execute client reference program, including case study development and
recruitment of users to support earn media and owned content marketing activities.
•
Produce core product materials (datasheets, presentations, eBooks, webinars, case
studies, videos) to support sales, leadership and partners.
•
Own launch process for product releases including development of pricing model, core
sales kit, partner enablement, and related training assets.
•
Support sales and marketing events, including production of product demos and
presentation materials.
•
Ahead of product launches, develop analyst outreach strategy and build relationships
with influencers.
•
Provide ongoing competitive intelligence and benchmarking and deliver insights to
inform pricing, GTM and sales models.
•
Serve as an evangelist for internal and external audiences and support PR initiatives.
Qualifications
•
10-15 experience as a B2B marketer - preferably with a professional services firm or
SaaS vendor in a global setting.
•
Skilled in market research and buyer personas/profiling, pricing, and selling strategies,
as well as positioning, messaging and thought leadership.
•
Demonstrated experience and success in launching new products, creating field
marketing programs, presenting to groups, and building partnerships.
•
Process-driven, self-starter with strong project management, organizational skills and
interpersonal/communication skills a must.
•
Knowledge of modern marketing techniques, including inbound/outbound, social
marketing, event marketing, as well as “classic” product marketing approaches.
•
Experience using marketing automation platforms and Salesforce.
•
Willingness to travel as needed; multi-lingual a plus.
•
Ability to work in the United States (Required)
•
Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA/MS preferred.
