It is hereby informed to all the Principals and Directors of the institutes affiliated to Gujarat
Technological University to observe the revised norms for Guiding M.E. Students for dissertation as
follows:




A faculty member with M.E. qualification and 2 years of experience of teaching may
be allowed to guide 1 student.
A faculty member with M.E. qualification and 3 years of experience of teaching may
be allowed to guide 2 students.
A faculty member with M.E. qualification and more than 3 years of experience of
teaching may be allowed to guide max 3 students.
A faculty member with Ph.D. qualification may be allowed to guide max 5 students.
To:
1. All principals/Directors of the affiliated colleges.
2. All sections of the University.
3. Concern file.
