Power NI Variable Speed Drive Grant Terms and Conditions
The following conditions will be applied to applications for the Power NI Variable Speed Drive grant:
General:
 A grant of minimum 20% up to a maximum of £10,000 or 35% (whichever is lesser) is available towards
the total project cost .
 The grant must be used to support the capital costs of installing a Variable Speed Drive. As a general rule
this only includes the equipment itself.
 Scheme must be located in Northern Ireland.
 The application form must be completed in full and submitted along with a copy of the equipment
quotation.
 You must be in receipt of a grant letter from Power NI before proceeding with any work. Power NI will not
provide a grant for those who have proceeded with the work without having applied to Power NI and
received a grant offer letter. There will be no exceptions to this requirement.
 Only one application will be permitted per commercial building.
 By signing the application form you agree to the grant terms and conditions.
 It is your responsibility to inform Power NI of any changes to your installation because it may impact your
entitlement to receive a grant.
 If you require an extension to your grant offer then you must inform Power NI as soon as possible to that a
revised grant can be issued.
 Funding is available on a first come, first served basis or until the 30 September 2016.
 Power NI reserves the right to refuse applications.
Quality Monitoring:
Pre installation monitoring
 You will be required to complete and provide a one week typical monitoring report of electrical
consumption and outputs of the current system, before the VSD installation.
Post installation monitoring
 Once the VSD is installed, a following one week monitoring needs to be carried out detailing the electrical
consumption and output of the system and a report compiled.
 Both reports must be submitted along with a grant claim form before any grant payment will be made.
 Monitoring costs will not be covered by this funding and must be included within the cost of the project.
 Applicants must allow access to the VSD installation for inspection purposes by Power NI (or other
appointed by Power NI) if required. A sample of installation checks will be carried out.
Power NI Variable Speed Drive Grant Terms and Conditions
Grant Claim:
 Grants must be claimed within 3 months of a grant offer being made by Power NI.
 Payment of the grant will only be made on receipt of:
o Pre installation report
o Post installation report
o Completed grant claim form
o Copy of stamped paid invoice
 Failure to provide all of these will result in a grant payment not being made.
