Biographical Sketch
• Primitive, Cautious, Slow-moving in political life and
writing style.
• Fierce debater and clever public speaker
• Short
• Lonely (both wives died)
• 3 total children
Personal Characteristics
• Collectivization of Farms: caused over 30 million people
to die of starvation.
• Dictator of the Soviet Union
• Purges killed millions of people, those who weren’t killed
were sent to labor camps in Siberia (Jewish
Concentration Camps)
• Devastated the Soviet Union’s economy because of 5
goals marked as failure.
Making of a Villain
• Joseph Stalin impacted the world in a way that is still
considered today. He lead the Soviet Union to defeat
Nazism. It is true the defeat could have happened without
the Soviet Union but it would have taken longer and the
death toll would have been more tremendous. In a
negative way he demonstrated that leading with
communism is an easy way to destroy anyone’s economy.
He was the reason the USSR is no more.
